Forecasting the direction and magnitude of real estate price changes is no easy task, fraught with assumptions about the local economy, the performance of the stock market, interest rates and a host of other factors. Still, I've taken a stab at forecasting Marin real estate prices in a research project in partial fulfillment of the requirements of a Real Estate Economics course that I have just completed as a prerequisite to obtaining a real estate broker (as opposed to agent) license.
